There are two dentist surgeries in the Deepings:

  • The Well Pharmacy in the shopping precinct
  • The Well Pharmacy next to the Deepings Practice
  • The Deeping St James Pharmacy on Rycroft Avenue

John Eve Field

The John Eve Field was donated to the Town Council by local farmer John Eve.  The field is used extensively, providing plenty of space to play sports, exercise and relax beneath the Elm and Chestnut trees. The gated field has an an informal football pitch, a children’s play area and a regional competition sized BMX cycle track.

Owned by the Town Council, John Eve Field is not for development, and is host to a number of events during the year, including the travelling fair and circus.

The Deepings Youth Centre

The Deepings Youth Centre serves 11-18 year olds and offers a wide range of activities and an extensive holiday programme. Centre activities include Music equipment and recording studio a large kitchen in which young people can learn to cook Raft Building DIY projects street-dance pool table tennis and much more. Holiday programme includes Go-karting Bowling Kayaking and wall climbs. We are rightly proud of our achievements including being the home of the UK Under 14 pool champion as well as having bands with recording contracts. The club is well attended and new members are always made very welcome by our friendly professional staff.

Walks

There are many wonderful walks around the Deepings area, whether you are looking to track the river up or downstream, explore the town centre or head out of town through Deeping St James towards the nature reserve, or westward towards West Deeping.

Printed leaflets detailing some of the walks around the Deepings can be found in the Town Hall, at The Community Library on Bridge Street, and the Deepings Community Centre, Douglas Road.
