Deeping Business Awards 2018

The Boundary and River Restaurant Crowned Deepings Business of the Year
Tributes paid to a Deepings Legend.

The third annual Deepings Business Awards were held at the Deepings School on Saturday 29th September.

On a fantastic evening that celebrated the achievements of a diverse cross section of the Deepings business community over 150 people dined, danced and celebrated with their peers.

The evening started with a tribute to the late Dick Callow, a stalwart of the Deepings business community for over 60 years who died last week. Dick was the recipient of the inaugural lifetime achievement award and the room drank a toast to his memory and passed its condolences to the Callow family.

Nick Ash, the compere for the evening, went on to speak about some of the community and enterprise projects that the Deepings Business Club had been engaged with over the past year detailing the club’s support for the Deepings School, the Youth Group and the Deepings Rugby Club.

The evening then moved on to the awards which were presented by Club Chairman, Andy Pelling. In the 2018/19 awards over 450 public nominations were received from which 65 companies were shortlisted across 14 categories. The shortlists were then put to the public to vote for their favourites.
